Occupying an enviable setting, High House is situated at the foot of the ancient castle of Dunster, now owned by the National Trust, on the edge of Exmoor National Park. The village, with its origins dating back to Bronze and Iron Age Britain, has a wealth of small boutique shops, tea rooms and fine dining restaurants and pubs.

The village is renowned for local events such as the annual ‘Dunster by Candlelight’ at the beginning of December, Dunster Country Fairs through the summer months, theatrical events at the castle, as well as local music concerts throughout the year in the village. The seaside town of Minehead is just a short drive away as well as the seaside villages of Blue Anchor and Porlock. Exmoor National Park offers breath-taking scenery for walkers, riders, canoers and adventurers.
